The world cultural heritage is the treasure of human civilization, carrying the history of humanity over time, and the treasure of resources and spiritual strength for human beings to keep making progress. In order to show respect and recognition of multiculturalism and to inherit the endless spirit behind the cultural heritage, our school held a TED foreign language speech contest with the theme of “Light of Human Civilization”.
In the speeches, contestants from each class talked eloquently, from the Chinese character culture of the Chinese civilization to the Egyptian pyramids of the African civilization; from the traditional Chinese shadow play to the timing tools of various countries in the world; from the past and present of the cultural heritage to the future development of the heritage Trends; from the forefathers’ stubbornness to the amazing craftsman spirit… The contestants introduced the rich world cultural heritage in fluent and vivid words, and expressed their historical recognition and profound understanding of the passing on of human civilization. Language sets up a bridge of communication, and with the power of language, we can appreciate the beauty of world culture and talk about the infinite possibilities of human beings.
Trace back to the source of civilization, seek the root of culture, show the grace of our youth, and recite the pride of civilization of a great country. The students fully expressed their sense of identity and pride in Chinese civilization in their speeches. Through exposure to multiculturalism, Intel students have entered a wider world of human civilization, and have a deeper understanding and thinking about the community of shared future for mankind.
