On March 6th, the director of the UNSW foundation studies visited our International High School.
The arrival of Dean Darren not only brought us the sun in the southern hemisphere, but also brought a series of major reforms of the program, bringing us more opportunities and challenges to the students of the NFLS Xianlin.
The main purpose of the Dean’s trip is to meet with Ms. Cheng Cailing, the Vice Principal in charge of our International department, about the development of the program. Dean Darren affirmed the outstanding achievements of the 2018 UF graduates and gave high hopes to the 2019 graduating class students. Looking forward to 2020, UNSW will provide a more comprehensive and enriched curriculum for overseas students of UF, so the students from NFLS Xianlin can enjoy the same learning resources as the students in Sydney in the southern hemisphere.
After the meeting with Ms. Cheng, Dean Darren came to the school’s big meeting hall to exchange the students’ concerns about academic evaluation, university life and employment prospects with the 2019 UF graduating class. The students listened carefully and actively interacted with Dean Darren.
Zhang Yijing from UFS 12D gave Mr. Darren a cross-stitch pattern made by students as a gift to show our welcome.
In UF, not only students can get the best quality Australian teaching, but teachers also need to raise themselves regularly. The Dean also brought the welfare of the teachers today: The teacher training program, so that the first-line teachers continue to upgrade their teaching literacy and ability is the fundamental guarantee for the NFLS Xianlin students to be among the best in the Australian global exam.
